urbanpringle: Maybe a cute girl will sit with me. Unlikely… Of the many long-haul train and plane rides I’ve had, I’ve sat next to children, one baby, old men drinking alcohol at 8:30AM (yes AM), old men drinking alcohol at 9:00PM (not as ridiculous, admittedly), old women in kimono, loud and rambunctious university students giggling and laughing about how gangster this one...

Just like all the other...

Awesome OSX Tip →
… Mac OS X Leopard offers a way to save clean screenshots of individual elements on your desktop — such as Finder windows, menus, icons, or the visible portion of an open document — without capturing anything else in the background. Hold down the Command, Shift, and 4 keys, then press the Spacebar. Instead of a cross-hair cursor, a small camera icon appears. When you move this camera icon...

Walking Koen-Dori in Shibuya to Yoyogi Park, watching the city at night from Shinjuku, chilling in Ebisu, exploring Daikanyama and Aoyama, shopping in Jingu-Mae/Omotesando and Ginza, biking Tamagawa, grabbing a drink at Midtown, perusing Roppongi Hills, lounging in Nihonbashi…  I miss my oshare Tokyo lifestyle :(

Bailouts!
Last night US Senate voted down a $14 Billion bailout package for the “Detroit Three” automakers. Success or failure? For many years, the Detroit Three have been stagnating. The cars they were pumping out were of shoddy quality, their management a totally mess, and rapidly falling consumer confidence. These companies deserved to and should have failed a long time ago. Many people...

morgang: marreka: You have to admit that with this kind of internal fighting within the Liberal Party, it would not have been good news with Dion at the helm of the country. Sure, but would it have been better to keep allowing Harper to ram things through Parliament without even a pretense of caring what the majority of Canadians (through their elected representatives) think? It’s a...

because you can’t tell stories of how you did some pretty hilarious things to thwart other things… (Believe me… both “things” are funny)

mattcunnington: I was up late like this last night studying… what poor work ethic I have. I really need to work on improving my time management skills. It’ll have to wait until the summer term though because in 9 hours and 38 minutes I’ll be done for the holidays! Back to studying I go! Good luck! I wish I was done tomorrow… haha.

Is a dangerous precedent. It’s a pandora’s box. Thought apps were bad? Wait until many websites (even ones you don’t trust) will have unrestricted access to your information, birthday, wall posts, and whatever other material people freely upload that facebook claims full and unconditional rights to.

dallasw: Should read: You see, Ontario and Quebec’s economies are in trouble. Just like everybody else’s (except for the rest of Canada). Last I checked Alberta’s (and a pretty sizable chunk of Canada’s lately) economy was oil… And when the price of oil drops from $150 to $50 in a few months, something tells me the good times won’t keep on rolling.

Only Stéphane Dion is dumb enough... →
dallasw: You mean the “power” that the people of Canada wanted them to have? If they had confidence in letting Dion or Layton lead they would have voted for them in greater numbers. Also, NDP as Finance/Environment minister, that should be great for the economy, taking the only provinces making any money (SK/AB/NFL) and crippling them with the either the Green Shift or whatever “perfect world”...
