Cool. Just bought travel/health insurance over the internets last minute! Yay for the internet.
Tokyo tomorrow!
Why is it that movies that look like funny comedies in their trailers end up being boring (and predictable) chick flicks?
For example, My Life in Ruins looks like it has potential to be funny… But I can’t help but feel it will be nowhere near as hilarious as My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Your critics are the ones telling you they still love you and care. Worry when...

Today I’m in a “getting stuff done mood” and I like it. Too bad now I’m waiting on people on the other side of the continent… Sigh.
Guh… I overbrewed the turkish coffee in the caffè latte I made and it has an unpleasant aftertaste.

Don’t cave in to bullshit international pressure. Seal hunting and seal meat is a pretty significant part of Inuit culture and Canada is about unity of all it’s peoples cultures (even the ones we royally screwed over that we still haven’t atoned for). You’re helping to make sure that happens.
Dear Jimbo F and Stevey H,
We all knew there had to be a deficit. Low revenues + increased EI payments + “stimulus package” can only mean one thing. Next time no lies, please? Seriously, I don’t think this $50B deficit is surprising in the slightest.
As for the CBC’s claims of “is this government REALLY conservative?!” (aired on May 28th’s The National), I say this: If the...

…how likely is it that the 8GB SDRAM option will become standard on the Macbook Pro in the next few months? Right now it costs an extra $1100. I want to buy a computer that will be good for at least 4 years, but $1100 is a fair bit of money…
You’re going to get the 17-inch machine?

Unconstitutional? I wonder when it will become unconstitutional to kill fetuses, too.
They’ve discovered a way to perform stem cell research without fetuses.
Somehow I don’t think he’s referring (only) to stem cell research…
Somehow I think Ron’s right about that. But in that respect, props again to Canadian researchers (with Japan’s help) coming...

It seems that Last.fm parent company CBS did indeed hand over it’s users’ listening information to the RIAA. That means all your data on what you listened to and when was given to a corporation whose sole purpose (it seems) is to sure everyone out of existence in a vain attempt to keep an antiquated business model alive.
This leak of information is a breach of the company’s...

Today I was running through the park and I realized I was so focussed on the path in front of me that I wasn’t seeing any of the beauty around me. God has provided this beautiful earth for us with trees, flowers, animals, lakes, and so much more. Even as I was thinking this I was looking a few feet in front of me. I concentrated so much on not tripping and keeping track of...

Did you know IATA was based out of Canada? You would at least think we would give our own airports sensible designations. What’s with the Y?
Based on my expertise (having worked 1.25 coop terms at Nav Canada), I will enlighten you. First of all, we now use ICAO, not IATA, which are not actually three letter designations. They’re four letters long. And in Canada, they all start...

Dear blackberry suretype,
When I type “QW” “OP” “ER” “L” “DF”, I want “world” to come out, not “QORLD”… That’s not even a word.
Also, I want “oh” to come out instead of “pH”. I rarely find myself discussing acids/bases.

Just 6 years ago, we were still using floppy disks that only carried something like 1MB of data. Ridiculous.
The first computer without a floppy drive was the original, Bondi-Blue iMac, which came out in 1998. You’re just a late adopter. ;)
